The History or Story Behind My Site

I first had the privilege on meeting Mr. Dawe after leaving school in '96. We had met on a media course at South-Notts., Charnwood College (formally an all-girls school... I believe?). Here, we spoke about our interests and goals in life and wanted to explore and benefit as much as we could from the course we were taking.

Some months into the course, our very small group of students started making a short, pathetic little movie called Hallucinations?. After completing the film, Anthony approached us all with a video tape of his. Not knowing what to expect, our class and teacher viewed this video-cassette with nothing to lose...

We [the class] had always identified Anthony with his Martial-Art skills and knowledge; his tape was an extension on this. After teaming-up with some friends and an experienced camera-operator, Anthony presented us with his first screen test, as well as other small-features (Including: Double-Trouble & Project V: The Viper) highlighting his Karate. I remember everyone being so impressed with what they saw, that we all decided to re-shoot Hallucinations?!!!

From there onwards, Mr. Dawe continued making various short-features in his spare-time as he enrolled onto a Performing-Arts course at New College Nottingham (97-00). I joined him late on this very same course and managed to make some of my-own personal favourite video-shorts with him.

Anthony also teamed-up with different filmmakers who shared the same interests and have also got the best out him. Such names are Simon Wyndham, Steve Lawson and Glenn Salvage!!!

Through his best work, famous Hong Kong film producer, Bey Logan got to see Anthony performing what he does best... Martial-Arts!!! After being impressed, he cast Mr. Dawe in his first studio-role in Gen-Y Cops!!! Is this just the stepping stone for the youngster from St. Anns, Nottingham?

Personally, I think that Anthony Leigh Dawe will proceed onto greater roles and experiences. In early 2000, he was lucky-enough to meet with his hero, Gary Daniels in the states... They are best friends!!! This is proof to say that dreams can be reached by anybody who dares to dream!!!

Although this doesn't happen over night, Anthony has always worked hard at his Martial-Arts and Performing-Arts, as-well-as making contacts to other Actors, Film-Makers and Producers around the world. He just needs to continue his progress, stay-level-headed and not give-up his goals ahead. Deep-down... HE WON'T GIVE-IN!!!

I designed this web-site to help Anthony some more with his career which lies promising ahead of him. I've noticed that he's caught the attention of other web-sites on the net which have been impressed with his work and skills. Between constructing this site and film-making, I also hope to make a career myself in an Heavy-Metal rock band which I am currently in at the moment!!!
